Sometimes I try to be as literal as possible. I want to create a botanical print out of glass. I love it when people look at my work and ask: “how did she get that leaf in there?” And sometimes I let the colors and the magic of the flame take over and the end result is like an illustration in a children’s picture book.

The quicksilver flash of a tropical fish; the flow of kelp in the current; the magnifying effect of water in a tide pool. Capture the moment, the motion in glass. But then again, the colors, the eyes…sometimes there is a call to be comical.

The best way to view glass art is with light coming through it…
or maybe with light reflecting off it…
or maybe both…
